NEW CREATIONS
CHRISTOPHE CLARET - DualTow NightEagle
A jewel of a watch complication, the DualTow is an amalgam of
Christophe Claret innovation, savoir-faire and excellence. Launched in
2009 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Manufacture, it has made a
deep and permanent impression, as much for its powerful design as for
its technical inventiveness. This year, the DualTow has returned in an
all black version that is more bewitching than ever. Elegant and very
subtle, its face is designed in such a way that the remarkable movement
can be admired more fully. Its slim silhouette with its angular tinted
horns and sapphire bridges reveals a single-pusher planetary-gear
chronograph with a striking mechanism and tourbillon. Its name:
NightEagle. The DualTow collection will eventually comprise 68 unique
models.

PATEK PHILIPPE - Chronograph Ref 5170
Eagerly anticipated by all watch enthusiasts, the new Patek
Philippe chronograph Ref. 5170 is equipped with the brand new hand-wound
CH 29-535 PS calibre, with a column-wheel and horizontal toothed-wheel
coupling – a movement of classical design developed and manufactured
from A to Z in the manufactory’s workshops. This blend of tradition and
innovation, crowned by six patents, is presented in a yellow gold case,
recalling the magnificent Patek Philippe wristwatch chronographs of the
1940’s. The Patek Philippe seal guarantees the technical, functional and
aesthetic excellence of this new haute horlogerie flagship model.

CABESTAN - Nostromo
Created by Jean-François Ruchonnet and Eric Coudray , nicknamed
“the masters of revolutionary watchmaking”, the Cabestan Nostromo draws
its inspiration form the world of science fiction, more exactly the
legendary film Alien. A single crystal on the case reveals the vertical
wheels and drums as well as the ingenious articulated drive shaft used
to transmit the energy to the movement. The bridges do not just anchor
the wheels, they wrap around the hour, minute and seconds drums, power
reserve and barrel to make them simple to read. Other ingenious features
include a jumping hour function, lateral windows in the case that
reveal the architecture of the movement, and the transmission of the
force that moves so astonishingly from the horizontal to the vertical.
Cabestan Nostromo undergoes a transformation at dusk: a fine
phosphorescent coating inside the bridges, windows and surfaces of the
movement diffuses a yellow-green light that illuminates the mechanism
and spreads over the strap, creating an almost supernatural effect.

BREITLING - Bentley Supersports
The sculpted steel Bentley Supersports special limited edition of
1,000 features a knurled bezel reminiscent of Bentley’s control buttons.
Under this powerful sporty chassis throbs an exclusive Breitling for
Bentley motor, a COSC-certified chronometer movement with a centre
60-minute counter. This unique system also has a 12-hour counter at 9
o’clock and a central scale for the hundredths of an hour or minutes.
Along with the traditional fixed tachometer, the “dashboard” dial also
has a variable tachometer with a circular slide rule. Unlike standard
tachometers, which can only record measurements over 60 seconds, this
exclusive Breitling invention can measure average speeds over any length
of time, as well as the distance covered and the maximum speed
attained.

TAG HEUER - Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph
TAG Heuer’s legendary motor racing-inspired collection, the
Carrera, has been expanded with the new Calibre 1887 Chronograph. Both
high-performing and elegant, this automatic chronograph is extremely
easy to read thanks to its refined design and the very slender bezel
providing optimal dial visibility. The small seconds runs freely at 9
o’clock, devoid of all constraints. Available in very classic
combinations – silvered or black dial with alligator strap or steel
bracelet – the Carrera Calibre 1887 chronograph joins the exclusive
circle of watches unencumbered by time.

BREITLING - Superocean
Breitling has revived the design of the legendary diver’s
instrument it launched in 1957. While the technical qualities that have
forged the Superocean’s reputation have been respected, the timepiece
has been given a thoroughly new look. The rubber-moulded bezel features
sloping numerals and flutes that underscore its technical nature and
adventurous vocation. The strikingly distinctive dial is a continuation
of the same vigorous design with applique numerals and hourmarkers
standing out against the black Abyss ground, which is encircled by a
blue, yellow, red, silvered or black bevelled flange. A born diver, it
is water-resistant to 1,500 metres and has all the attributes of a
professional instrument, like the safety valve that automatically
releases the accumulated helium when the internal over-pressure reaches
around 3 bar.

TUDOR - Tudor Heritage Chrono
A direct descendent of the Tudor Oysterdate chronograph of the
early 1970s, the new Tudor Heritage Chrono 2010 is at the crossroads of
vintage and velocity and reiterates the iconic features of the original
model, such as the 45-minute counter and the bidirectional rotatable
bezel. Enhanced by aesthetic and functional details inspired by, and
reminiscent of, racing cars, the Tudor Heritage Chrono embodies all the
excellence one would expect of a legendary timepiece.
